Mattress properties

An unbeatable mattress for babies. Designed and made in Finland, the high-quality Familon Smart baby mattress is suitable for cots. The Familon Smart is the standard size for a baby’s mattress (60 x 120 cm), and so a standard-size top mattress will fit it. Combined with a Familon Original top mattress, it provides unmatched sleeping comfort and easy cot care.

The product contains a baby mattress, but not a top mattress.

As well as excellent technical properties and a wonderful feel, the Finnish-made Familon Smart mattress is an easy care option and is also suitable for babies with allergies.

Mattress structure

When it comes to safe and sound sleep, children need products of their own size that are designed specifically for them. With its upper layer of wonderfully soft, smart memory foam filling and its thicker underlayer of very firm 100% polyurethane foam, the Familon Smart baby mattress provides superb ergonomic support for little bodies. The cot mattress is approximately 8 cm high.

The washable mattress cover has a comfortable, flexible knit with breathable moisture protection under the upper surface, and a zip on three sides for easy removal.

Additional information

Mattresses containing smart filling, which adjusts to body heat and weight, harden when aired outside at sub-zero temperatures. This is completely natural. Take the mattress inside without changing its shape, and let it warm up gradually. The smart filling may also feel harder than usual if the bedroom temperature is low. However, because the smart filling reacts to body temperature and weight, it will quickly soften once the child is in bed.

The Smart baby mattress is a hygiene product, and to ensure hygiene it is non-returnable.

If necessary, the removable cover can be machine-washed at 60°C. Straighten it into shape after washing when it is still moist. The filling is not washable.

When cared for properly, the Finnish-made Familon Smart baby mattress will provide a good night’s sleep long into the future. The mattress will stay clean and fresh when vacuumed from time to time. To help increase the lifespan of the mattress, it is a good idea to turn it regularly, for example when changing the sheets. The moisture protection and soft smart filling are on the upper side only, so the mattress should not be flipped over. Invest in a new mattress for your baby, for good bed hygiene and quality sleep.

Most of the products are available immediately from our warehouse. Delivery time for stock items is 3–8 business days to Finland, to other EU countries 5–10 the business days. Check the product-specific delivery time.
