Top mattress properties
The luxuriously ergonomic Familon Air is an extremely breathable, light and water-washable top mattress. This elastic and firm top mattress provides ergonomic support for different body weights and shapes. Thanks to the elasticity of the top mattress, adjusting position during the night is sheer comfort. Completely washable with water. Since the mattress is exceptionally hygienic, it is also suitable for allergy sufferers.

In addition to featuring technical properties that promote a good night’s sleep, the Familon Air top mattress is environmentally friendly, easy to care, and suitable for very sensitive skin.
Top mattress structure
The hygienic Breathair® material features effective air flow and moisture evaporation. The breathable Breathair® material does not absorb moisture or store heat, which naturally suppresses bacterial growth and makes the top mattress very hygienic. The breathable and airy Breathair® material keeps the bed’s temperature and moisture content significantly lower than traditional foam or smart filling.
The cover of the ergonomic Air top mattress is made of elastic quilted polyester knit with a pleasant feel, with a zip fastener on four sides.
When the sleeper turns, the Breathair® 3D spiral-fibre structure produces a small sound that may disturb light sleepers. Familon has not, however, received any feedback on the sound from persons using the product. The manufacturer of the Breathair® material calls these small sounds ‘sleep music’.
The package contains one top mattress in the size of your choice. The thickness of the mattress is about 7 cm.
Additional information
The Familon Air top mattress will be home-delivered in a flat package. The double-width top mattress for a double bed consists of two padded elements placed side by side, and the mattress will be delivered in a flat package folded in the middle. Even though the 3D spiral structure of the Breathair® material is durable and elastic, we do not recommend long-term storage of the Air top mattress either tightly folded or rolled up.
The new Familon Air top mattress is similar to the Familon Ergo Breathair top mattress.
The Breathair® material used in the Familon Air top mattresses is a Japanese innovation launched in 1994. Breathair® is a popular material in, for instance, the seats of ships, trains, and cars, since the breathable and durable 3D spiral fibre structure prevents sweating and numbness. The particularly hygienic Breathair® material, which can be washed with water, is also used in hospitals and nursing homes.
The Familon Air top mattress is a hygiene product. To ensure product hygiene, it is non-returnable.
